LUFS is the new industry standard for measuring loudness based on the human ear perception and is the main driving force behind the normalization system. To create this plugin, a custom implementation of the LUFS measuring system was developed for Unreal Engine. The first step in a good audio mix is normalization, meaning balancing the volumes of all the individual sound sources to get them within the same loudness level.
